KC Robotics began as K&C Industrial Sales in 1989 when Ken Carrier started as a manufacturers’ rep for hydraulic and electronic repair. After incorporating in 1990 in the state of Ohio, the company began selling Cincinnati Milacron robot parts and refurbished robots, as well as service. By 1998, the company was nationally known as a quality robotic service provider, and the name changed to KC Robotics.
In 2001, KC Robotics expanded into robotic integration and programming. When Ken’s son, Paul, joined the business in 2007, he focused the core business on integration. By 2011, KC Robotics was a Yaskawa Motoman Channel Partner and KUKA Robotics System Partner. The company continued to expand with a professional staff and process expertise in arc welding, cutting & trimming, and material handling applications.
This year – 2017 – KC Robotics is growing again and expanding into new robotic processes. At Automate 2017, we introduced new Yaskawa Ultrasonic Cutting Technology using a Motoman MH24 robot. Ultrasonic cutting and trimming provides enhanced precision and reduced cutting forces, with a high speed cutting knife.
