CHOOSING THE RIGHT VENDOR
When choosing a vendor, you want make sure their resume is up to date. Don’t hesitate to ask for references and assure yourself that they deliver satisfaction instead of disappointment.
END OF ARM TOOLING
In selecting you’re first robot you’ll want to focus on the end of arm tooling such as: grippers, vacuum handlers, deburring tools and choose payload capacity, number of axes of motion and adaptability with the work environment.
CONDITION
Although a “used” robot is being considered, we still have to make sure it’s been re-conditioned with proper OEM specs.
WARRANTY
If warranty is not offered in the process of a sale, then that vendor has something to hide. Some companies offer up to a 1 year warranty on parts and service. So make sure they take care of you even after you purchase their robot.
SERVICE AND TRAINING
If you’re not familiar with robots, then it’s best to choose a vendor who offers service & training as part of your package. Getting the proper training on how to handle your robots can avoid issues in the future. It makes you feel secure that help is just a phone call away.
