This particular robot is suited for arc welding applications. It is a compact, six axis, serial link, electric servo driven robot. It is also designed to maximize throughput and use of floor space by providing a flexible, high speed design in a proven and reliable mechanical unit. The Arc Mate 50ib is controlled by an R-J3ib controller with Arc Tool application software.
In order to increase flexibility, this robot can be mounted on the floor, on an angle, or inverted and with its small footprint & wrist design enables it to find placement in tight installations. The Arc Mates design allows for extremely small weld cells or a high density of arc welding torches in given area. It comes with the fastest wrist axes in class to provide increased throughput by quickly reorienting the weld torch.
